Hill Hill Carter Opens New Office In Birmingham, Alabama

Hill Hill Carter is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office in Birmingham, Alabama and the addition of Alicia F. Bennett, E. Dianne Gamble, and Dana B. Hill as shareholders.

“We have long represented entities in education and employment matters and opening an office in Birmingham, to be staffed by three seasoned education and employment lawyers, makes a lot of sense,” remarked David Henderson, Managing Partner at Hill Hill Carter.

Mrs. Bennett, Ms. Gamble, and Mrs. Hill bring years of experience to the HHC team and the Birmingham office provides us with an additional pool of top-notch staff well versed in education and employment law.

Mrs. Bennett has represented boards of education, their members and employees for over 19 years.  In her capacity as general counsel for such boards, she provides advice and litigation representation in several areas, including labor and employment, contracts, civil rights, and student matters. Mrs. Bennett received her B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College in 1992 and received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1996.

Ms. Gamble has provided legal counsel to school boards, educators, peace officers, and local governments for more than a decade and serves as general counsel and special counsel to several Alabama boards of education.  Licensed in Alabama and Mississippi, Ms. Gamble has extensive trial and appellate experience and specializes in labor and employment, student matters, policy development, civil rights and tort matters.  Ms. Gamble graduated in 1996 from the University of Southern Mississippi and received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2001.

Mrs. Hill currently serves as general counsel to three Alabama boards of education and has represented nearly twenty other local school districts in state, federal and appellate courts. She focuses her practice in the areas of education law, employment law and general litigation. Mrs. Hill graduated summa cum laude from Alabama State University and received her J.D. in 2000 from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
