Hill Hill Carter is pleased to announce that Shareholder Felicia Long has been appointed by the Alabama Supreme Court to the Alabama Supreme Court Rules of Evidence Committee. The Rules of Evidence Committee studies and evaluates the rules, considers revisions, and makes recommendations to the Supreme Court of Alabama. “I am honored to serve Alabama’s judicial system as a member of the committee,” said Mrs. Long.
Felicia also recently won a judgment in favor of a Fortune 500 company in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, in an alleged insurance fraud case brought by a plaintiff on behalf of himself and a purported class of persons. Prior to trial, the class allegations were dismissed and several significant motions in limine were granted which resulted in the case being dismissed on the eve of trial.
