We are pleased to announce on November 4, 2025, attorney Daniel T. Seawell of our firm was admitted and sworn in to the United States Supreme Court bar inside the courtroom of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. The admission ceremony swearing in was performed by Chief Justice John Roberts with all nine of the Justices on the bench. Immediately after the admission ceremony, the new admittees to the United States Supreme Court bar were given the privilege of observing oral arguments in this Nation’s Highest Court. Admittees to the U.S. Supreme Court bar have met specific qualifications. These qualifications include being in good standing with a state’s highest court for at least three years, which in Daniel’s case involves his being in good standing in the Alabama and Mississippi Supreme Courts. Due to this privilege, Daniel is now able to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. This admission provides him the ability to file petitions and responsive pleadings as well as present oral arguments for his clients before the U.S. Supreme Court Justices. His bar entry also allows him special, preferred seating in the courtroom of the U.S. Supreme Court for future oral arguments and announcement of decisions as well as access to the Supreme Court Library and special members-only areas within the Supreme Court building.
