Elizabeth has 30 years of civil litigation experience, representing public and private clients in matters ranging from employment to complex litigation. Elizabeth’s work led her to the healthcare world where she has represented private healthcare companies for 13 years. Elizabeth now leads the firm’s national Healthcare Cost Recovery Team in mass tort and pharmaceutical antitrust matters.
Elizabeth is the firm’s HIPAA Compliance Officer and manages the Security and Compliance team. She focuses on critical issues facing private healthcare companies, speaking on topics regarding maximizing medical cost recovery for private health plans. Most recently she served on the Unsecured Creditors Committee of the J&J subsidiary bankruptcy related to talcum powder claims. Elizabeth clerked for the Honorable Sonny Hornsby, Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, from 1994-1995 and has been practicing law with Hill Hill Carter since 1995.
