Hill Hill Carter Cuts the Ribbon on New Birmingham Office

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 29, 2016) – Hill Hill Carter, a full-service law firm headquartered in Montgomery, Ala. recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their newest office located at 100 Corporate Parkway, Suite 325 on June 29.

“We have long represented entities in education and employment matters and opening an office in Birmingham, to be staffed by three seasoned education and employment lawyers, makes a lot of sense,” remarked David Henderson, Managing Shareholder at Hill Hill Carter.

Alicia Bennett, Dianne Gamble, and Dana Hill, all graduates of the Cumberland School of Law, joined the firm as shareholders, and opened the firm’s Birmingham office in December 2015. The new office, which is approximately 2300 square feet, underwent minor construction over the past few months and features an eight foot Birmingham skyline triptych in its client reception area.

Bennett has represented boards of education, their members and employees for over 19 years.  In her capacity as general counsel for such boards, she provides advice and litigation representation in several areas, including labor and employment, contracts, civil rights, and student matters. Bennett received her B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College in 1992 and received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1996.

Gamble has provided legal counsel to school boards, educators, peace officers, and local governments for more than a decade and serves as general counsel and special counsel to several Alabama boards of education.  Licensed in Alabama and Mississippi, Ms. Gamble has extensive trial and appellate experience and specializes in labor and employment, student matters, policy development, civil rights and tort matters.  Gamble graduated in 1996 from the University of Southern Mississippi and received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2001.

Hill currently serves as general and special counsel to four Alabama boards of education and has represented school districts, municipalities, public officials and educators in state, federal and appellate courts. She focuses her practice in the areas of public school law and policy, employment law and general litigation. Mrs. Hill graduated summa cum laude from Alabama State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and received her J.D. in 2000 from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
